Ugh, I don't know what to do, my car has been broken down for about a year, and I can't afford to get it fixed, I hate to have to sell it as a junk car, but my apartments are going to have it towed soon if I don't do something. I need help :(
It doesn't start, just makes noise when I turn the key, someone told me they thought it might be the fuel pump.
I bought this car brand new 10 years ago, I paid thousands for it in it's life and I really hate to get rid of it,
especially since I can't afford a new one, living on a very low fixed income.
That sucks. Sorry I can't really help.
ReplyDeleteSelling things as rubbish is bad
ReplyDeleteman that sucks, seems like you need some cash
ReplyDeletethat sucks real hard man. be lucky to own a drivers license tho. i lost mine
ReplyDeleteYeah, I really just don't know what to do, hoping I can think up something brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWhich car is it?
ReplyDeleteit's a 2001 Hyundai Accent
ReplyDeletetry pumping the accelator a little as you turn the key (becareful not to keep your foot down though or you'll flood the engine) what sort of noise does it make?
ReplyDeleteWhat i usually do is take it to a mechanic to see what the problem is, (it usually costs about 100 to 300 to find the problem) Once I know what the problem is, I just buy the repair manual for the entire car and fix the part. It is far cheaper than repairing by mechanic, and especially if your good with mechanical things.
ReplyDeleteYeah Chriselstone I tried that, it coughed at me but didn't start.
ReplyDeleteTold you to get rid of that a year ago. ;)
ReplyDeleteIf I could get more rides from yah maybe i would've :P
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the car. That bites. Ive had car problems in the past, but have been lucky enough they were minor and I could fix myself.
ReplyDeleteYeah I just really don't know what to do, plus I've got really bad arthritis so i can't really do much mechanically.
ReplyDeleteOuch, that bites even harder. If I were bit closer to you, I would help out, but I am kind of broke and thats a long drive.
ReplyDeleteEven still, it's awfully sweet of you to say.
ReplyDeletethat sucks man! junk yards rip you off to the max!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear wish i could help :/
ReplyDeleteYeah my options are the car gets towed, aka tow company charges you out the nose for towing and "storage" basically they have license to steal your car if they tow it, and if you can't pay they then get to do whatever they want with it.
ReplyDeleteor sell it for a couple hundred dollars. I just don't see any other solutions.
sucks to hear that man
ReplyDeleteyeah, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat really really sucks, hopefully this blog can help raise awareness and then, maybe, some kind generous person will donate a large sum to help your woes.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck!
Make sure the fuel pump fuse is good.
ReplyDeletedamn that's a shitty deal hope something works out for you!
ReplyDeleteYeah it sucks, Life was hard just buying the damn thing when it was new and I had a good job. Being unemployed I'm really in a bind.
